ES 50kW/100kWh C&I Energy Storage System PC-mini is a complete solar generation, battery storage and energy management solution for
commercial, agricultural and industrial sites. The selected configuration combines a
100.35kWh high-voltage LFP battery system with a
50kW three-phase hybrid inverter.
Product configuration
IA-50kW/100kWh-EC10 consists of the WHES THA-50kW hybrid inverter and DC-100kWh-EC00 battery cabinet. Together, they form a
C&I energy storage system supporting direct PV connection, battery charging and discharging, on-grid operation, off-grid operation and EPS backup power.
PC-mini is suitable for small and medium-sized manufacturing facilities, farms, logistics sites, retail buildings, office premises, charging infrastructure and other commercial or industrial locations with high or variable electricity demand.
The system provides
50kW rated power and 100.35kWh battery capacity. The 50kW rating defines the rate at which the system can exchange energy, while the 100.35kWh capacity determines the amount of energy available for storage.
Surplus electricity from a solar power system can be stored and used during periods of lower PV generation or higher site demand. Depending on the selected operating strategy, the battery can also be charged from the grid during lower-price periods and discharged when electricity prices or site loads increase.
This enables the PC-mini system to support
peak shaving, demand management, solar self-consumption and energy cost optimisation. The final operating strategy should be based on the site load profile, electricity tariff, PV production and energy management settings.
The included
THA-50kW three-phase hybrid inverter has four independent MPPT trackers and supports up to 96kWp maximum PV input power. Direct PV connection removes the need for a separate solar inverter within the selected system configuration.
Maximum PV input voltage is
1000V, while the
MPPT operating range extends from
150V to
850V. Four MPPT trackers provide flexibility when planning a commercial PV array across different roof sections, orientations or operating conditions.
Each MPPT supports two PV strings. Maximum input current is
20A per string, while total maximum PV input current is 160A, divided into 40A across each of the four MPPTs. Maximum PV short-circuit current is 240A, or 60A per MPPT.
The battery section uses LFP, also known as
LiFePO4, cells rated at 3.2V and 280Ah. Each battery pack has a
1P × 16S configuration and provides 14.33kWh of capacity. The selected IA-50kW/100kWh-EC10 configuration provides a total battery capacity of
100.35kWh.
The battery voltage range is
150–800V, placing PC-mini in the
high-voltage battery system category. The battery cabinet, hybrid inverter and control systems operate as one functional C&I energy storage solution, while the complete product remains categorised as an energy storage system rather than a standalone inverter.
On the grid side, PC-mini provides 50kW rated input and output power with 50kVA maximum apparent input and output power. It supports a three-phase 3/N/PE connection at 220/380V or 230/400V and operation at 50Hz or 60Hz.
The integrated EPS function provides backup power for selected loads during a grid outage. Rated EPS output power is 50kW, with a transition time of less than 10 ms.
Short-term peak EPS output reaches 1.6 times the rated apparent power for two seconds. This additional capacity can support the starting requirements of motors, pumps, compressors and other equipment with higher inrush current.
PC-mini supports 100% unbalanced three-phase output, half-wave loads and surge loads. These capabilities are relevant for commercial and industrial facilities where single-phase and three-phase consumers are not distributed evenly across all phases.
The system supports on-grid, off-grid and microgrid applications. Up to
six units can be connected in parallel for both
grid-connected and
off-grid operation. The number of units, protection concept and control strategy must be determined during project design.
Integrated protection includes overvoltage and undervoltage protection, DC insulation protection, DC injection monitoring, residual current detection, anti-islanding protection, overload protection, overtemperature protection and reverse polarity protection for both battery and PV inputs.
DC Type II and AC Type II surge protection are included. AFCI protection against DC arc faults is available as an option.
The battery cabinet provides
IP55 protection, while the included
THA-50kW hybrid inverter is rated IP66. C5 corrosion resistance supports installation in demanding commercial, agricultural and industrial environments.
The system uses intelligent air cooling and operates at a noise level below 65dB. Its operating temperature range is
-20°C to +55°C, with a maximum operating altitude of 2000 metres.
Fire protection equipment includes a smoke detector, heat detector, audible alarm, aerosol fire suppression and sprinkler system. An optional flammable gas detector and pressure relief or ventilation panel are also available.
The complete configuration with the hybrid inverter installed measures
1070 × 1150 × 2250 mm and weighs approximately
1.2 tonnes. No conventional foundation construction is required, but the load-bearing capacity, service clearances, cable routes, grid connection and fire safety conditions must be verified before installation.
WHES 50kW/100kWh C&I Energy Storage System PC-mini is suitable for solar self-consumption, peak shaving, demand optimisation, microgrids and backup power for selected commercial or industrial loads.
The final configuration should be based on measured electricity consumption, the capacity of the existing or planned PV system, required backup duration and grid connection conditions.
