Sungrow Minicube SMB020-V1 2kWh LiFePO4 battery module is the battery unit of the Sungrow Minicube 2000 system. It is designed for use with the Sungrow Minicube SM800H-V1 single phase hybrid inverter and is suitable for smaller residential PV systems, micro solar installations and modular energy storage applications.

The SMB020-V1 battery module has a rated capacity of 2035.2Wh and a rated battery voltage of 38.4V. It uses LiFePO4 semi-solid-state battery technology, designed for stable operation, improved safety and long service life. The datasheet specifies 7000 battery life cycles, making it suitable for daily residential energy storage use.

The Sungrow Minicube 2000 system can be expanded from 2kWh to 10kWh, allowing the storage capacity to grow with the user’s energy needs. This is practical for residential installations where the customer wants to start with a compact battery system and expand later if consumption or storage requirements increase.

SMB020-V1 is a plug and play battery module for the Minicube 2000 system. In combination with the SM800H-V1 inverter, it supports storage of solar energy, higher self-consumption and backup or off-grid operation within smaller residential PV systems.

For safety, the Minicube 2000 system uses semi-solid-state battery cells and comes with a fire protection module and heat shield. The system also includes over / under voltage protection, over current protection and over / under temperature protection.

The battery module is part of a compact residential energy storage system with IP65 protection, natural convection cooling and low noise operation. The system supports WLAN and Bluetooth communication, quick Bluetooth connection, real-time data visualisation and single-app integration with the Shelly smart meter for easier monitoring of solar production, consumption and stored energy.
