50kW three phase string inverter SG50CX-P2 is a high-power commercial PV inverter for
larger solar power plants, industrial rooftops, business facilities and professional PV projects where strong AC output, flexible string design and reliable operation are required.
The SG50CX-P2 model supports up to
70kWp recommended maximum PV input power, with 4 independent MPPT inputs and 2 PV strings per MPPT. This makes it suitable for larger PV installations where modules are installed across multiple roof sections, different orientations or separate PV string areas.
The inverter is designed for
1000Vdc PV systems and supports a maximum PV input voltage of
1100V. The MPP voltage range is
160–1000V, with 600V rated PV input voltage. Maximum PV input current is 120A, or 30A per MPPT, while maximum DC short-circuit current is 160A, or 40A per MPPT. This allows the use of modern high-power PV modules and flexible commercial string configurations.
On the AC side, SG50CX-P2 provides
50kW / 50kVA rated AC output power and 55kVA maximum apparent AC power. Maximum AC output current is
83.6A, while rated AC output current at 230V is 72.5A. The inverter is designed for three phase grid connection
3 / N / PE, with 220 / 380V or 230 / 400V rated AC voltage.
For safe and stable operation, SG50CX-P2 includes
DC switch, DC reverse polarity protection, AC short-circuit protection, leakage current protection, ground fault monitoring and PV string current monitoring. Surge protection is integrated as
DC Type I+II and AC Type II, which is important for larger commercial PV systems.
Sungrow SG50CX-P2
includes PID recovery function and integrated
AFCI support for additional system safety. The inverter also supports dynamic shading optimization, Smart IV Curve Diagnosis, key component diagnosis and grid fault recording, helping installers and service teams manage larger PV systems more efficiently.
With
IP66 protection and C5 anti-corrosion rating, SG50CX-P2 is suitable for demanding outdoor environments. Smart forced air cooling, low night power consumption below 5W and an operating temperature range from
-30°C to 60°C support stable operation in different commercial and industrial project conditions.
For local monitoring, the inverter provides LED indication and Bluetooth connection through the app.
RS485 communication is supported, while
WLAN and Ethernet are optional. Remote monitoring is not included in the standard product and should be added separately if required for the project.
