WHES 250kW/509kWh C&I Energy Storage System PC-G2 is a
modular battery storage solution for
larger commercial and industrial facilities. It is designed for manufacturing plants, logistics centres, retail complexes and other business users requiring high-capacity energy storage and advanced power management.
The system provides
250kW rated AC power and
509kWh battery capacity. Its modular AC/DC architecture uses separate battery and PCS cabinets, simplifying project planning, servicing and future system expansion.
The battery section uses CATL LFP, also known as
LiFePO4, cells rated at
3.2V and
306Ah. The total capacity of
509kWh consists of
ten 50.92kWh battery packs arranged across two battery racks.
Rated battery voltage is
832V, with an operating range of
728–936V. PC-G2 is therefore classified as a
high-voltage commercial and industrial battery energy storage system. Maximum charging power is
244kW, while maximum discharging power reaches
254.8kW.
On the AC side, the system provides
250kW rated output power and supports a three-phase
3/N/PE connection at
400V. The integrated PCS cabinet manages energy conversion between the high-voltage battery system and the AC grid. PC-G2 is categorised as a C&I energy storage system rather than a standalone inverter.
The system can support peak shaving, load shifting, dynamic capacity expansion, solar energy storage and fast frequency response. The final operating strategy should be based on the site load profile, grid connection requirements and the energy management objectives of the facility.
Its modular desi
gn supports up to six systems connected in parallel. Subject to project design, grid capacity and control requirements, the complete installation can be expanded to
1.5MW of power and approximately
3MWh of
battery capacity.
The batteries use
liquid cooling, while the
PCS section uses intelligent
air cooling. A wall-mounted liquid cooling system with automatic fluid replenishment helps simplify maintenance and maintain suitable operating temperatures across the battery system.
Protection ratings of
IP67 for the battery packs,
IP55 for the battery cabinet and
IP65 for the PCS support installation in demanding commercial and industrial environments.
C5 corrosion resistance and a noise level below
65dB provide additional flexibility when selecting the installation location.
The multi-level fire safety concept covers detection, suppression and isolation. Safety equipment includes smoke, heat and gas detection, audible and visual alarms, aerosol and water-based suppression and pressure relief.
WHES PC-G2 is VDE 4110 certified and uses CATL battery packs tested according to UL9540A. Its modular construction, high storage capacity and parallel expansion capability make it suitable for demanding professional C&I energy projects.
WHES 250kW/509kWh C&I Energy Storage System PC-G2 is available through the
Energetik B2B platform for registered users. It is intended for electrical designers, EPC contractors, system integrators, professional installers and business partners delivering commercial and industrial energy storage projects across the EU.
