The
Sungrow MVS5140-LS is a medium voltage (MV) transformer substation designed as part of a
complete turnkey solution for
PowerTitan 2.0 battery energy storage systems (ESS). It enables efficient connection between the low-voltage system (0.69 kV) and the medium-voltage grid (11 kV – 33 kV), ensuring reliable integration of large-scale energy storage systems into the grid.
The system includes a 5140 kVA transformer, RMU unit, protection systems, and an advanced control cabinet, all integrated into a compact containerized solution. This design allows fast on-site deployment, reliable operation, and optimized system performance.
The MVS5140-LS features ONAN transformer cooling and an HVAC system for temperature control, ensuring stable operation in demanding environments with operating temperatures from −40 °C to +60 °C. Its robust design (IP55 protection and C4 anti-corrosion rating) makes it suitable for harsh industrial and outdoor conditions.
Advanced communication options (Ethernet, optical fiber, RS485) enable integration with SCADA systems for centralized monitoring and control. The system also includes UPS functionality to ensure continuous operation of control and communication components.
