larEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW version is suitable for PV installations of 1000V. Standard the DC side has four pairs of MC4 plugs and there's a Surge Protection Device (SPD) on the DC side.
Two RS485 connections and one Ethernet connection are integrated. Connection with wifi is also possible, provided a separate antenna is purchased. Once connected, the SolarEdge SetApp can be used for commissioning and monitoring.
Communication
The inverter has two integrated RS485 ports and one connection for an Ethernet cable. Connection via wifi is also possible, but then a separate antenna is required. Once a connection is available, the inverter can easily be accessed using SetApp. In this way, commissioning is possible, as well as continuous monitoring of the system. This can be done at the panel level so that the entire PV system can be monitored.
Security
The device features arc protection and leakage current detection. The arc protection can be set separately. This protection keeps an eye on arcs that occur in the system. As soon as this becomes dangerous, it will break the circuit. Leakage currents are common, but in most cases harmless. However, dangerous situations can arise when leakage currents reach a certain strength and a person comes into contact with the system. The detection detects this and will then switch off the device within 20 to 40ms. The SPD offers protection against overvoltage caused by lightning strikes, for example.
